Maestra has been acquired by leading global temporary infrastructure solutions provider, Arena Group. An established premium fabrication partner known for delivering world-class scenic builds for luxury brand experiences and large-scale live events, Maestra brings its vast expertise to Arena Group.
Tom Clements, Founder and CEO of Maestra, will continue to lead the company, ensuring continuity for Maestra’s clients and staff while benefiting from Arena Group’s global infrastructure and resources.
“This acquisition marks an exciting new chapter for Maestra,” Clements commented. “With Arena’s global infrastructure capabilities, we can now offer our clients a broader range of integrated solutions while maintaining the exceptional client service for which we are known.”
Established in 2014, in recent years, Maestra has experienced rapid growth, working on major projects including COP28, the Precision Pioneer Exhibition by Jaeger-LeCoultre, and Diriyah Bashayer 2024. The company has also significantly expanded its fabrication capabilities in both the UAE and KSA, alongside its successful joint venture with modular temporary structure provider Showblock in the Middle East.
With Arena Group’s acquisition of Showblock in the UK earlier in 2024 and considering the strong growth potential in both the UAE and KSA, the opportunities between the two businesses became clear. “Both Maestra and Arena already have a significant presence in the UAE and KSA, serving a broad base of clients,” Clements stated. “This acquisition allows both Maestra and Arena to offer those clients an even more diverse service offering.”
Maestra will continue to manage Arena’s Showblock operations in the region, and the company will also be relocating to a new 110,000 sq ft production facility in National Industries Park, Dubai. The new facility, strategically located for projects in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, will increase Maestra’s production capacity, featuring a large outdoor area for mock-ups and an efficient production line for scenic builds and Showblock services.
In recent years, Maestra’s vision has been to position itself as a leading build contractor for event and creative agencies. “Our primary goal has always been to simplify the client journey, making it as seamless as possible,” Clements explained. “Joining Arena Group provides Maestra with the support and resources needed to scale up significantly. This includes access to a larger workspace, increased workshop capacity, valuable regional expertise, and a global inventory of temporary event infrastructure. With these new capabilities, we will be able to offer integrated solutions for large-scale projects that combine temporary structures, premium fitout, and world-class technical project management.”
For Arena meanwhile, the acquisition reinforces the Group’s commitment to expanding its event services across the Middle East and beyond, providing end-to-end solutions that encompass modular structures, scenic builds, and temporary infrastructure. “This acquisition is a strategic move that strengthens Arena Group’s position as a leading provider of comprehensive event solutions,” stated Paul Berger, Arena Group CEO. “Maestra’s expertise perfectly complements our existing capabilities, allowing us to offer clients an even more integrated service than ever before. We’re excited to welcome the Maestra team to the Arena Group family and look forward to collaborating to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients across the Middle East and beyond.”
